On Monday, we started our adventure with a quick practice on the outdoor courts in Decorah. We ran over a few plays and made some final adjustments to our game. After practice we all had to finish packing. A little nervous about what we could and could not bring, Sam Jewell made everyone empty their bags, show what they had packed, and repack them step-by-step with her. Four Walmart runs later we were ready to load up the vans and head to the airport!!
The last two days may have been very busy and a little stressful, but after arriving safely in London, we were able to stretch our legs and explore the City Centre. From the airport we took the Piccadilly Line on the London Tube to begin our walking tour. Although we only had a few hours to explore, we saw some amazing sights including; Westminister Abbey, Buckingham Palace and Gardens, the Parliament Buidling, Art Museums, Statues, a giant ferris wheel, policemen on horses, and double-decker buses. Unfortunately we did not get to see or mess with any of the gaurds at the Buckingham Palace, but we were able to pose for many America's Next Top Model pictures with all the phonebooths lining the streets.
Our time in London was coming to an end and we had to ride the tube back to the airport. By this time we were all pretty exhausted and ready to sleep on our next 11 1/2 hour flight to Johannesburg, South Africa!!!! We will keep you posted!!!
